Planning Your Ceremony: The Heart of Your Wedding
As your Celebrant, I see my role as working with you to develop a perfect ceremony, guiding you through the process, taking the concerns out and leaving you with choices rather than major decisions.
Your wedding ceremony is just that: it is your ceremony, not mine; and it is vitally important to me that you have what you want. I will look after the legal aspects and the rest we can work through together.
Many couples have no idea how to even begin thinking about what they want, let alone put it into words. That is where I can help, both with the structure and the content.
As your Celebrant, I do not become involved in the planning of your whole event, although I will check with you that you have essential plans in place. And I will guide you through the process of applying for your marriage licence.
A fluent and well-built ceremony will be based on the following suggested structure:
And if you are after a simple and shorter ceremony, I can provide this at a reduced cost, based on the amount of input required.
I am also registered to perform Registry Wedding ceremonies - this option offers a short government-scripted ceremony, replacing a "Registry Office" wedding. Limited to weekdays, Monday to Friday, at a fixed cost of $90.

- Welcome and Introduction: to put all at ease and remind them why they are here
- Giving Away: may be left out or replaced with a statement of family support
- Introduction: reflections on the nature of love and marriage
- Your story (how you came to this moment)
- Reading: a focus of people's thoughts (can be elsewhere in the ceremony)
- Declaration of Intent: also known as “The Asking”
- Exchange of Vows: words required by law and also your statement of commitment.
- The Rings: an exchange of a material symbol of your commitment, not necessarily a ring, but maybe another relevant gift or symbol of your relationship
- Signing: the legal paperwork (with two witnesses)
- Blessing: sending the couple out with everyone's best wishes for them

Weddings
As a Registered Independent Celebrant I am available to perform any ceremony or celebration for you, your family or friends. This may be a funeral, a wedding or civil union, same-sex marriage. a renewal of vows, or an elopement. I also officiate Registry wedding ceremonies, either in my own home, or at your venue of choice.
